6000k bulbs, need help

hi, got the bulbs today & out to the hardware stores(homedepot, lowes, sears, autozone) for the screwdriver so as to open up the bulb cover. however, other than those regular stardriver(torx driver), i couldn't find it which has a little hole right in the center of the star. anyone know where i can get it or is there anyway i can open it up?

use a small flathead screw driver. It works like a charm.

Torx with security bit. I found it at Lowes. Home Depot didn't have it.

I went to a local hardware stored, a hollow one.

I just replaced my bulbs yesterday and I had a hard time putting the bulbs back in and securing the metal clip. Is there aiming required? I tried my best to align it back to normal but i am not sure how if it matters. Anyone know? Thanks.

Me too. Getting the bulb back in is a bit tricky. It's really hard to explain. It takes some figiting. Whatever you do not take off the metal clip! Once the bulb is aligned the clip should lock in place. The clip will lock securely only when the bulb is in place. I didn't align anything after the install. Everything looked ok.

After you installed the bulbs did you notice that the passenger side is a bit lower or a little less bright than that of the driver side? I did mine last week and that is what I noticed on mine. Did I do something wrong? Do I need to check something?

Maybe when you installed the bulbs you moved the reflective backing of the housing. Get a philips screwdriver and park in front of a wall to relevel them

I can take a pic of the broken ceramic part. I was wondering how high should the low beams be aimed cause I do not know which side i ****ed up. I just know that they are off. If anyone could provide me with two measurements.... distance from bumper to wall the lights are being shined to and height from the ground where the brightest part of the lights ends. Hopefully this will help me aim it correctly.
