6000 miles review of TLS

Car has operated flawlessly. I've been getting 21 mpg on mixed driving. I think it has improved since 5000. I have not had one single problem to report!! I think it handles great with excellent power. The only negative to report is that the sun-roof is too small. I wasn't even able to use the sun-roof (for any length of time) until recently. In Louisiana there are only 30 days per year I could even use the sunroof, and the most important feature is that the A/C is awesome!!. I can hang meat in this car in 100 degrees temps with 100% humidity. I love this car!!

I agree with you on the A/C -- no matter how hot the car gets inside, the A/C doesn't seem overwhelmed and is able to cool it quite quickly. I have a black interior in Florida and haven't had a problem yet.

Glad to hear you're enjoying the car.

Don't worry the rattles will soon come to haunt you.

Honestly, the car rattled slightly when it was new, but I think they seemed worse than they actually were because the TL-S is SO DAMN QUIET ON SOLID PAVEMENT. But, now at almost 10,000 miles, my TL-S is completely rattle free.

Let's see, my 55,600 miles review of my TL:
It has performed flawlessly also. Only a few squeaks/rattles here and there but it has all been fixed. Regular oil change at every 3000 miles and I changed my transmission fluid at 30K miles. Got brake resurfaced and new brake pads.

So far so good. I guess I got one of the few good ones.:p

No, I think there are many good ones, and a few bad.

"one of the few good ones..." Do you really think that only a few are good and most are not? You're doing people who come to this site to read about this car a dis-service with a comment like that. Acura is one of the most reliable cars money can buy.

I did have to chuckle when I read that. People at ClubLexus often use the number of issues and complaints here when dismissing the Acura as not in the same league in a Lexus. I wonder if it's really just that problems are so rare in Acuras that it becomes news.

Sun roof

I'm at 2500ish miles and i'm starting to hear my sunroof rattle. It isn't all that load but still you can hear it when the radio is turned down. My friend who is a manager a dealer said to bring it in and have it fixed. What do you think? anyone else had this problem or has had success fixing it?

It has been my experience doing car Message boards for 10 years that everyone will always post problems they are having to see if others are having the same problems. While technically some problems may only show up in 1% of the cars, but "other" owners who in general know this will try to use it to further their own cause. for example, a few months on the S2000 list there were huge topics on the #4 cylinder problem that resulted in owners getting new engines. There were only 7 official cases of this in 50K S2000's but BWM guys went to town with it.
