6 1/2 solution?

Hi!
Quick question... Is this gonna help out with painful installation of 6 1/2 speakers?

1" is a lot of space. it might then hit your door panel. i had to cut my door shell custom mount it to the old bose frame and still shave down to lower the profile of the grill it came with so that it would clear the window and keep the panel from hitting the cone. pain in the ass, but sounds great lol. i installed Focal Access speakers (pretty big)

Yeah man your door panel will probably not fit right with a 1"inch spacer. What speakers did you have in mind to use?

Those really aren't that deep. Can't remember how much clearance there is in the door with the window rolled down but the mids I put in were almost 3" and I got away with a 1"spacer so you would probably not need anything that thick.

Yeah also keep in mind depending on how big the magnet is on the speaker you may need to cut some metal to get it to fit. The stock hole is kind of wierd shaped.

I put in the Kicker SS56.2 component set in mine and I used a 3/4" spacer and I had to trim a 1/2" of metal. These are just 5 1/4" speakers too. The mounting depth of my speakers is 2 11/16" and it just cleared the window when it is down.

i used 1" metra plastic spacers and they fit in the door fine with no mods (cutting, shaving) i also run the infiniti reference 6.5 components (same ones you posted a link to) and coaxels depth is perfect.
