i recently went in for the tranny recall. after they placed the oil jet kit in their it started slipping. I took it back furious but held back a little bit. I had the guy test drive my car and he floored it to 6 grand and felt a immediate problem. I told them that it wasnt the same since i got the oil jet kit and wut can you do for me. he told me to prove the 30k maintence requirment(honda/acura tranny fluid, acura oil change, etc) . I ocvuldnt get any proof because i recently bought it from a bmw dealership as a certified preowned. With Island Acura in Wantagh, long island, ny, they told me that they will have to take the car in for the day and have a mechanical technician dioagnoisis it. He called me back and told me that he will replace the tranny with the new modified tranny that has the oil jet kit inside already free of charge. They also wanted to give me a loaner but i am under 25 so they didnt. I;m supposed to be recieveing a "Card" in the mail and then i go down to the dealership and schedule an appointment to have my tranny replaced.

I am pleased with this dealership, no hassel what so ever. I am surprised that they took care of me even that i didnt buy the car their.

ps i got to check out the 2005 rL. off the hook wit the formula 1 shifters on the steering wheel. Excellent way to spend 50 g's
