4300k / 6000k / 8000k / 10000k Bulbs?

Just needed some suggestions. I'm looking for something whiter, without the blue color to it, slight blue is ok.

i was thinking about gettting 6000k too but am holding back cause of trhe post say its a bit hard and delicate to change this bulb out.

so im guessing its not like changing a regular halogen bulb like in my previous 2000 honda prelude. that cars blb was a snap to change.
pull out rubber seal unclip the bulb then pull out.

if you want the stock look, just get the 4300K's. If you want blue without being illegal in most states get 6000K anything higher would make your car look like a ricer anyhow...

6000K is more of a purplish look. 8000K is a blue look. I use the 8000K bulbs and I think they look great.

It is not that hard, the driver side is a little difficult to get your hand in there thats all.

mikelee- looks to me like you want a 4300k stock bulb....i'd personally recommend something in the 5k range if they make one. 4300k to 5ks are just no bullshit, good, bright, white light, without being all blued out like mine.

Not to nit pick, but the higher the Kelvin rating, the more purple the light. The only Kelvin ratings I trust are Philips/Osram. The other manufacturers Kelvin ratings may/may not be accurate. Do you realize 12000K is technically a black light??

Shiny, just curious. What brand bulbs did you get?

Some good info here:

Yo!

Mike,

Are you trying to change your stock headlights to almost the same color?

4.3k to 5k?

I'm curious as to why you would do such a thing?

Just go with 4300ks, OEM philips... I got some 5000ks and I can't even tell the difference but I think that it takes some time to burn in or something.

Philips only goes as high as 6000K. Anything else is more than likely Asian.

Projectors can be had anywhere from $80-300. A lot of it depends on what will fit in the TLs headlamps. OF course you would need new bulbs, too. I retroed some Valeo projectors in my MDX and love them!!

These aren't 8000K (but how would anyone know anyway? How would they measure it?) but these would probably be your safest bet.
