Question 3M Hand Glaze

Can anyone tell me the difference between 3M's Hand Glaze and their Swirl Remover for dark cars? I have both, but I always hear about using the hand glaze before waxing and nothing about the swirl remover. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

swirl remover is exactly what it says. it has a rougher compound in it for helping to remove swirl marks. glaze is the last step in finishing a car right before you wax.

Isn't the hand glaze supposed to remove swirl marks? Is there that big of a difference between the two? This is so confusing!

difference

The swirl mark remover will raise the clear coat and smooth over the rough edge of the swirl mark, getting rid of minor ones all together and make bad ones look less noticable. Glaze will then "fill in" the offending swirl marks to make them dissapear. Glaze is far less abarasive and contains oils, fillers and the like to feed the paint and make the tiny scratches disappear.

Follow the glaze with a good wax to seal it all in.
