3A Racing Tips

3A Racing
Straight round tip - size: 3-1/2" diameter inlet
99 TL
No lip

I saw a lot of noise about these and just bought them. But I feel like they might look too big and/or stick out a tad. The pictures don't do too much justice. But perhaps I am just not 'use' to them yet.

Does this size (3-1/2") work well with no lip?

My second question is, because they weigh significantly more than the stock tips. Will this extra weight take a toll on the exhaust and the rubber support hangers?

They fit way better with a lip on, and no issues with weight I've had my tips on for many years no problems

With a lip kit they sit perfectly flush. Also there won't be any problems with them. They were on my car for 10 years before I went with comptech axleback.

they look perfectly fine lol. any more inwards would look ugly. vice versa. looks good with or without lipkit. and no, there shouldn't be any problems with weight. the hangers can support alot. and even then if the hangers give out or start to sag, you can always do the mod i did and put a rubber hose clamp around it and tighten up to your desired height.

Question, can I take off the old stock tips, cut the pipe w/ a hacksaw about 1/2 an inch - 1 inch, and put on the 3a tips so the 3a tips do not stick out as much?

They're supposed to stick out like that. They look good. Only Hyundai does stuff like recess their exhaust far back so it looks like there's no pipes. Everyone's pipes stick out that far!

Yeah, but without the lip, they stick on a tiny bit too much to my liking, where they almost look a little too overkill (which doesn't seem to show in the picture as much as it does it person)

What is the price on one of those.

Short term, is there any reason that should keep me from slighty cutting the pipe with a hacksaw (if it can)
