3A Racing Filter alternative

Does anyone have any experience with these filters before? My original Injen filter is slightly bent and instead of cleaning/recharging it I might as well go buy a new filter. I was looking for other filter alternatives (cheaper) and found these at my local autoparts store (Kragen).

It appears to use the same K&N fitler element but on top of that has added filteration up on top. The only thing that I could think of on why this would make a poorer choice is that I doubt this has a built in "velocity stack" (correct me in I'm not using the term properly) and that maybe the over all weight is greater. The center portion has an inverted cone similar to the more expensive Apexi filter found on this site (which BTW claims to reduce airflow turbulence by at least 10%).

The question I have now is...by having a center cone for added filtration outweigh/equal that of a fitler with out the center cone but with a velocity stack?

those are just generic filters that many hondas use....you'll be fine with it..as for the velocity stack it only helps if your a performance guru....the inverted cone filter is just for looks, i would recommend it to you if you wanted to save money as the filter is just as usable as the k&n
