35 is the leagal tint and the place will only do the 35 percent with a warentee. other wise if i go darker they won't warentee it or give me a receipt. its only a 100 bucks and i think its 3m or llumar tint.

My setup on the car right now is as follows:
20% on the rear glass and 20% on all 4 side windows with 50% on front windshield. It is a little too dark for my liking especially when making turns at night time or backing out of the drive way because seeing out of the 20% side windows is kind of difficult.
My Friend's Audi just got the following setup:
Rear Glass 20%, 4 Side Windows 35% and the Front Windshield is 50% and after seeing this setup I'm in love and taking my car in next week to get it done. Looking at the car from outside you can not tell the differecne between 35% and 20% and because of the 50% on the windshield it makes the car look very clean and smooth. Just dark enough but not too dark.

it all depends on the lighting and angles.
this is 35% front 25 rear.
i find this a good combo and if your limit is 35% you will also have less hassel with the cops

I'm not a big fan of mismatched tint...
Florida has 35% limit on the front windows, but I went with 20% all the way around. I've never been pulled over in this car with that tint and am beside cops all the time.
When I was younger, I did 5% but now that I am half blind, I can't see shizzit at night when darker than the 20%...
In Florida, our guy is about $175, but it is a flawless job. You really don't want to screw tint up because a lot of m0r0ns will scratch the shizzit out of your glass if it needs to be redone later. Remember, if it costs a little more, it's probably worth it...

Dude, it depends on your preference...
I was like you and hated 35%, but after looking at all the cars... 35 is not so bad.
35% looks expensive, classy and people can barely see you through a shadow in the day... it's kind of nice and you can see perfectly at night and they can't see you at all at night.
If you want to get it a little darker in the interior make the back 20 or 15 since most of the light passes through that window anyways.
To me, I like mine... it's not really that big of a deal unless you smoke weed or do drugs in your car or you are so hidious that you don't want people to see the outline of your neck and head. 20% might also give you some difficulty driving at night.
Anything illegal is going to draw a little more attention to you. If you do get pulled over, make sure to roll the windows down before he gets to your car and find an inspector that will give you a sticker before you purchase the illegal tint.
Lumar makes the better film than 3m these days.
They all have a cheap line though like the regular dyed film... do your research and if you don't have a Navi you are ok to go with a slight metallic tint with a lifetime warranty. If you go with illegal, nobody is going to give you a warranty.
Hope this helps

Go with Formula One Classic 35 on sides and 20 on the back and be done with it... Lifetime warranty, good intall, no inspection hassles, and all. Make sure you tell them not to leave any gaps on the rear quarter panels and to micro edge the windows... Peace

In NJ you can't have any tint on the front windows or the windshield, and on the rear windows there is no limit to how low you can go.

I have 35% all the way around on my 03 ABP TLS, I think it looks great. During the day, tinted just enough to know but not noticeable enough to attract a cop's attention. At night, it gets very dark, you can barely see through it.
As for price, I got mine done (all windows except windshield) at Auto Creations in Raritan NJ for 175 (if i remember correctly) and they have a lifetime guarantee. If if ever peels, or fades, you can take it back and they replace it no questions asked.
If you are worried inspection, don't.......I can help you out in that department Just send a PM if you need to get inspected soon. (NJ residents only)
