There is the tl-p which stands for premium, and than the s type. The s-type has bucket seats, and perforated leather, as well as a different shift knob, as far as the interior goes.

As far as performance, the s type has a different intake manifold, different exhaust and if I am correct it has a different compression ratio than the tl-p, which is where the added power comes from. The type s also has a sport suspension which has a stiffer and more sporty ride.

As far as tuning, the only option is to get the type s manifold and a few other parts to gain the horsepower. If you are looking for power, you can check out the lightweight crank pulley, different exhaust and header combinations, intake manifold spacer kit, and a cold air intake.

Use the search option at the top of each forum, and welcome to the forum.

it makes your car louder and gives the engine cold instead of hot air (thats why its called cold air intake) which is better for the engine and gives it more power, usually 7-10hp
get magnaflow if you decide to get a cold air intake

there is a 30+ hp differance between the motors,, including different cams!

Please read the many threads on the subject of how much power from each modification you make for how many dollars

Be happy with the P-power and work on its suspension instead

intake makes a huge difference, especially if you use 3 inch piping and a 4 inch cone like me.

I highly doubt that intakes generate any more than 7whp. 10, maybe...MAYBE at the crank, but you'll get no more than 5-7 whp, and a sexy sound. Exhaust makes a small difference as well if you're stock, maybe a bit more than a CAI. However, if you have a lot of performance mods, a freer-flowing exhaust can unlock more horsepower.

Well as of late (00-03) it looks like its very easy to do. (direct swap, with a engine hoist it could be done in less than half a day)
