2nd gen TL vs. TSX

I took my 02 tls for service and got loaner TSX.
I think TL-s even though it is older than TSX much better than the TSX specially due to V6 vs I4. I felt more like driving subcompact and felt constrained when I drove the TSX. I didn't like the overall experience, its mirrors, jerky accelereation. But the center console for TSX, specially dazzling instrument panels made me really jealous.

the interior owns ours in terms of dash/gauges as does any newer acura, but exterior+performance is where we shine compared to a tsx

and another thing i like about the tsx's just like newer acura's, is that you can control the 1st gear in sportshift

with you. i think 3rd gen tl is probly best of two worlds.

honestly, id go with the tsx just because it's newer... no auto problems that i know of, but i'd just go with the 3rd gen tl if that's an option. good luck

My father has an 05 TSX and I love everything about it except for it's lack of power. I like the dash better than my TL's

I almost like the tsx, it handles pretty sporty, the biggest problem is that it is so damn slow.... pushing the gas pedal is almost pointless, whenever I get back in my TL it always feels good to haul some ass again....

X2, although the A3 is way overpriced for what you get. Cant say that about the IS especially the 350. Man I love watching N/A V6's cream big hulkin' american V8s.

yep lol.. when i had my loaner, with the way i sit the seat back was almost touching the rear seats ... and i don't like the dash one bit, thats one of the main reasons why i bought another 2nd gen TL, i had a choice between an 05 with navi and my 03 A-spec, lets just say i made the right move . Tsx is good for driving around knocking over garbage cans though

Does anyone have a better comparison, I was actually looking into a TSX because of its great handling/japanese build. Dont know if i should downgrade in terms of power though.

X3, especially that the 2.0T A3's 2L turbo engine is highly tunable with lots and lots of torque starting at very low rpm.

I had a loaner TSX as well when my 99TL was in for service. I missed the torque from my car vs the TSX. Plus the huge trunk of out TL is a big plus.

I recently had a TSX loaner a couple of weeks ago also. The few things I did like about the car were the fresh interior and digi dash, and the newer HID headlights. Aside from that, ehhh nothing too exciting. After getting accustomed to the v6 TL, no more 4 cylinder whips for me!!
