I noticed around here that, except for the female drivers, most 2G TL drivers drive pretty aggressively on the road...

I always notice em like "hey there goes another TL!" then it just zips past through the traffic lol. Tailgating whoever's in front of them to move outta the way.

I wonder if any of em are in here lol.

Are they like that where you all are too?

 

I drive like that when I need to get somewhere in a hurry, but thats how everybody in Texas drives so it looks normal to other people including myself

 

im a highly agressive driver. but i just stay out of everyones way

 

The ones I see are mostly dudes in their 30's-40's speeding too....having fun with their cars I guess. I don't see too many younger people with these TL's. But whenever I do, they usually are the only ones with the OEM lip kit. Still gotta get mines.

most 2g TLs around me are driven by 50-60 yr old white ladies or middle aged indians. I have NEVER seen someone in their early 20s driving one

 

TL drivers in my area are some of the best drivers. They don't drive slow, but they are not aggressive either.

 

x2. I rarely see youngsters driving TL's. Most of them that I've seen are older people, 35+.

 

come to california, I'll prove you wrong with the whole younger generations and a tl. I got mine salvaged for only 10k

I live in the south and I've never seen one TL driver under 40. The only other one I know of is PA!

 

2G tl drivers are more aggressive due to their pricing, a teen who wants a nice car with navi or power can afford a 1999-2003 Easily vs. a 3rd gen TL. most Teen drivers drive aggressively, so theres your answer

 

18 and i have a 2gen, and spent a lot of money on it in mods. but my car is salvaged also and i got a real good deal on it.

 

I TOTALLY Agree with the thread title, my friend, Jjashaa (that's right!) is a VERY agressive driver, always tailing me and going crazy when we have some random players wanting to play with us. Something about a modded 3g driving with a modded 2g on the freeway sparks playtime with random cars.

There are a lot of modded 2g TLs and 3g TLs around my place. what i notice MOST is:
Modded 2g owners would fly by me and not even look at me or acknowledge me.
Modded 3g owners actually either do NOTHING at all, just stare or some of them nods and talks to me while driving.

This is probably due to me driving a 3g and not a 2g....idk...I usually wave to modded 2g TLs i see....I guess it's like Penis envy =P just kidding!

of course this is all my and does NOT apply to all 2g owners

 

It doesn't bug me or anything..I'm just asking because I've noticed that alot lol.

 

It's that they have to Drive it like they Stole it 'cause in any minute... their tranny might dump out on them...

Around me, most 2nd gen TL's are owned by middle aged folks who drive in a relaxed fashion. Even myself, I tend to drive much slower and better now than when I was in my late teens or early twenties. Then again, I can take my other car to the track and drive like a madman should I feel the need to

 

same here...im all over MD/VA/DC lookin for some race action but most of the time i cruise around 80-85...i laugh at most ppl tryin to race me cuz im boosted and they dont stand a chance...when the 6spd drops it will b even easier to fry ppl

 

I have one seen one 2nd gen TL-S driver being agressive/reckless on the highway. It was mostly stock looking/wing/kittless with only amber fogs.

Most of the owners are older, but the younger ones with stock, or modified TL's seem to drive normal around here.

 

Its not that we're aggressive, it's that everyone else on the road is just damn slow! lol

Definitely an aggressive driver with my bone stock TL-S. Hope to fix that soon though, but I'm broke haha. I've only seen one other Type-S in my area, and only a couple other TL's. Owned by older people or girls(nothing wrong with that). I haven't noticed 3G TL's really, so I don't know whats in the area. Closest Acura dealer is 45 minutes away though so that could explain it. 2nd gen looks sexier anyways.

I've seen 1 other modded 2G TL in my entire life out on the road... (other than Pizauls which is see almost everyday at school or at a meet) Maryland sucks.

yea unfortunately it's that way with our 3rd gens and we cant put on headers like the 2nd gens.

 

Theres not many 2ng gen TL's in STL, but I do run into some. I drive a 2nd gen CL-S and run into 3rd gen Tl's literally every other stoplight...they are everywhere!

Anyways, I've never noticed either of the gens tailgating people around here. I do get a lot of looks from 3gen TL owners though b/c I have 3rd gen TL wheels on my CL-S. I have messed around with a 3rd gen TL-S on the highway, but he had to get off at an exit before we could have any fun

BTW, a 2ng gen CL-S or TL-S is just as fast as a base 3rd gen TL...2ng gen CL-S/TL-S are definately faster modded b/c they do so well with just headers
