Question 20's on my TL

I have a 2000 TL with 20x8.5 ADR sterling rims on it. The tires used to scrape in the back until i got my fender wells rolled up. The car looks great and rides good, but i need to get a drop. If anyone has 20's on thier ride, please let me know what kind of suspension you put on the car and whether or not it will start to scrape again in the back if I drop it. Thank you very much for your help.

Here's a CL-S w/20's...pretty stupid if you ask me. First off, looks like a 4x4 w/o a drop. And plus, if you do drop it..you won't be able to drive anywhere...let alone..make a turn.

I'm sorry...I just think that 20's should be kept on SUV's...

i know a guy around my area who put 20's on a tl...and no you won't be able to drop it and drive...if you ask me putting big rims and not being able to drop it is a waste of time, sell the 20's and get 19's, it fits the car better anyways...

I know a guy that put 20"s on his TL and put an Eibach pro-kit with spacers in the back. He had 3-piece rims with a really high offset though. But it looked pretty good. And here's a TL on 20"s that I think looks GREAT!! Best of luck to ya man.

I've seen a 02' TLS with 20" Maido LS5 & OEM kit and it looks off the hook.

if your not rubbing after you rolled the fenders without being dropped, you will definitely rub after you lower. dont those have like a +38 offset? 8.5 wide with a +38 offset = rub no matter what. if you dont care, then i wouldnt drop the car with anything other than the H&R OE springs.

I have H&R OE springs and i can't put my 20's back on my car i have the X20 Tricks with 225/35R20 tires with a 42 offset. it rubbed a little until i cut the tab but now there is no way they will fit without rubbing , mayeb if i roll the fenders but that might be pushing it. Now i have to settle for 19 diablo lionharts i hope they work they suppose to be in this week. so good luck.

+42 offset wouldn't work even if you were rolling on 18's or 19's - unless you roll the fenders.

Yeah, with 19's..you need an offset of at least +45.
