They just came off of backorder. They are available at any Acura parts department.

I work for Honda so I did not pay retail but I belive list price is around $34.00. I did not try the 3.2 because I just never did like that emblem. I kept it because I like emblems on a car but the 3.2 TL S-Type always looked to busy to me. The new emblem is way clean and really cleans the back of the car up.

Looks a bit big on the back, the ACURA letters are smaller than the TL

The ACURA letters are actually about the same size. I made sure before I purchased the emblem. The photo makes them look larger becuase of the angle of the deck lid.

I'd remove the ACURA letters just to make it look cleaner.

The new emblem looks great on the 2nd gen... Is the new "A" on the 07 also a bit bigger? If so, I think de-badging the whole rear and putting the new "A" and the new "type S" would look even better... Maybe I will try that out for my self this week... Will post pics if I do it.

looks real good... why not debadge the A C U R A from underneath the A emblem and put the smaller "ACURA" emblem from the 3rd gen on the top left of the trunk to create some symmetry?

I think it would look better with just the "Type S" badge - no "TL".

03TYPESTL,

I meant that using only the "Type S" part from the new 2007 badge would look better to me. In actuality, I don't like the "Type S" emblem that the 2002-03 came with.

When I removed the dealer sticker, I did use Goo Gone to remove any remaining adhesive residue.

I did not use goo goo gone to remove the remaining two sided tape. I used 3m adhesive remover. It is safe on all painted metal surfaces but it does strip everything off. What I mean is that it will clean off everuthing including your wax in that area. I rewaxed the area where the old emblem was and then I had a nice clean area to stick the new one to.

Quick question.... After you take your 02 "Type S" emblem off, and you goo gone the area...

Do you wax then apply the 2007 "type S" emblem or apply emblem then wax?

Thanks

I wax first because there is no way to get in between the letters without getting it on the emblems.

looks nice....
If someone who does not like either the stock 02 03 "type-S" or 07 "S-type" emblems, why don't you try the JDM "type-S" emblem for our car? I think the JDM one looks nice too~

At first I was concerned that I may have mounted it too low or too high, but when you stand back and look at it.. it looks perfect... Makes the back of the car look much cleaner.

The hardest thing was getting the old letter adhesive off of the trunk.

Thinking about putting the newer smaller "ACURA" letters on.. maybe in the upper left corner, like the 07 tls (and 04+).
