2004 tl video

http://www.wnbc.com/feedroomvideo/

Doesn't reveal too much but gives good front view of car and Acura rep talking about features like no windshield wipers and side view cameras. All he says is something like high performance but never states specs.

From what I've heard... we should get some production specs very soon. Apparently today is the "public" viewing of the TL before the NY Auto Show and we should get some real specs. The specs the rep is talking about (wipers and cameras) are all for the concept vehicle and will never see production.

Info on the "public" unveiling: http://www.vtec.net/news/news-item?news_item_id=91445

I bet that compressed air thing would make a crap load of noise. Probalby sounds like you got the defroster on. With the camera thing, what about screen washout? I know when I have the sunroof open the navi screen in my car gets completly washed out.

I agree, no way we see those features.

So it's officail that theres no side mirror but cameras.
what if some jacka$$ knocks them off?

I just talked to a sales rep today. He said that the new TL will be a few thousands more that the '03 one. That's going to make it as expensive as an ES. On the other hand, I think that's quite possible since the TSX is priced in the mid to upper 20K (26K - 28K). If the TL was just going to be 2K more like the '03 model, who would buy the TSX? I just think the TSX is over-priced since it's just an "Accord".

I think the cameras are mounted inside the car. And I don't think that would end up on the retail TL, its just on the concept car cuz its cool.

If the cameras made it to production, they probably will be stolen more often than the HID's. Then besides eye-less TL's, we'll get wing-less TL's.

Arrow $30K... hmmmm

Check out USAToday (4.17.03) to set the record straight. Remember that after showcasing the TL, it lost its fogs and other items at time of production...

I do not know if this is legal but I quote:

"...If Acura intends to keep the TL a relative bargain for its size, poise and features, the production model will have to do without some of the jazzier features of the concept. Likely to get the ax: Brembo race-style brakes; specially designed, 19-inch alloy wheels; cameras instead of rearview mirrors; and high-pressure air jets that blast away rain or snow and replace windshield wipers."

So basically take away all the options that make it unique.
