apprecaite any info on the 2004 TL ...thanks. I guess not much is out there as far as really juicy information.

I have a question. ...so I'm hearing we wont get the 2004 TL till Aug or Sept. but what I want to know more is when to you people guess or think it will be actually unveiled...you know like how much sooner than Aug will we see it. Pictures, specs or an actual car show or press conference....or spy photos. (Remeber the spy photos on the 2004 Accord!...haha ..everyone wen't "what the fu**?" and looked in horror at that rear end).

Just a thought that came to mind guys.
Remember back when the TL was a concept & we saw the old computer pics on what it would look like & had. This was back in late 97 early 98. The TL was designed by the same team that did the 98 ACCORD coupe back then. I wonder if the same design team did the TL again. We may be looking at BENZ style tailights for the TL. The TL has more of a raked sharper look than the ACCORD SEDAN but more like the coupe.

On thing that scares me is that I have heard rumor they are moving it upmarket and up in price. I think this would hurt sales of this sedan big time if they move it up too much. What sells most people on the TL is bang for the buck. Currently you can get a nice sports sedan with 260 h.p. for the low 30s. How would this car sell in the 35-40 price range? I would imagine not nearly as well because a lot of new competitors show up in that price range. Just my 2 cents.

Reading this article on the TSX ( http://www.autoweek.com/cat_content...._code=03149511 ), it does seem that the TL might be moving up in size atleast. That might also mean a price increase.

How long of a wait de you all think it will be before the Type S based on the redesign comes out? That is if they will still have the Type S...if I remember correctly, they released the RSX immediately with a Type S option right? What about a TSX-S?

Today I walked into the local Acura corporate offices (100ft. from my office) and I asked the receptionist about the 04' TL's. She really didn't know but she tried to get the attention of someone that was on the phone. While waiting, one of the big-shots walks in from lunch. The receptionist asks him about it and he said for her to call one of their dealers and talk to Joshua. Just after he says this another lady says "They just had an Acura meeting this morning..." The receptionist call Joshua and he said release date is somewhere Sept.-Oct. as said on here already.

I come back to my office and call that same dealershipand talk to the salesman I've been dealing with so far. He tells me with a little more conviction that Sept. is right.

I then ask him how late I can order an 03' since, so far, the 04' isn't appealing to me (large, more expensive...). He tells me that if I wanted an 03' that I should start checking with him some time in June. By July they will be ordering the September (04') cars. I then confirmed with him some of the stats as far as price (mid $30k) and power (approx 285hp but no mention of AWD) and a larger chassis.

So there ya go...

My office is at the corner of Sixth & Main downtown (where Richter & Phillips is) so the corporate office at the (formerly) Chiquita Center is just through the alley behind the Federal building. It's a little company called Merit Litigation Support Services (court reporting).

I'm going nuts trying to figure out when I can get this thing and will one be available when I'm ready. I drove around back to look at the stock when no one was looking and they have 4 or 5 back there exactly the way I want it. Scott (the salesman I'm dealing with) tells me at one time people were asking about one in Diamond White and since the dealership ordered a bunch in White, those people just haven't come back to buy 'em. Hopefully I'll be able to snag one.

The one I want is a Type-S Diamond White with Parchment interior and no Navigation Sys. But after this winter an Engine Block Heater is a given!!

I have one in Anthracite, an 03 Typs S with no Navi and CAI. I have been real happy so far. I live in Kenwood but work in N. Kentucky in Taylor Mill. Good luck with your hunt.

If I may be so bold to ask. What did you wind up paying for yours?

I'm out in Eastgate off of Clough Pike right next to I-275. You could throw a baseball in the highway from my front yard.

Tom, I leased mine based on price $500 over invoice. Got it from Columbia Acura in Montgomery. But that was 12 months ago so you can probably do better than that now.

My sources said that the TL will come in 2 trims with the TL-P 260 HP and 280 for the Type S, with side mirror blinkers and 18 inch wheels while the regular TL is coming with 17'. Wayne Acura.

I don't think anyone will be making up their minds until we see the new TL.

I think I saw your car a couple weeks ago going South over the I-275 bridge (over the Ohio River) about 8:30am.

If I may ask, how much did you pay for yours? So far Columbia Acura (salesman was Rod V.) offered one to me for $29,052 with delivery.
