2004 TL Blurb in Motor Trend

Did anyone see the paragraph on the 2004 TL?

Long story short, it said the TL will have an optional 6-speed transmission and the 18' wheels on the concept will not make it to production.

Just wishful thinking on my part, but I really hope the car has 18's.

It seems to me a lot of the competition offers them, including the new Maxima.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Oh yeah, and as we all new, it said the car would not retain the air-jets in place of wipers.

I also saw the brief paragragh in Car & Driver - they mentioned it could have Brembo brakes. Did Motor Trend mention that?

No, there was no mention of Brembo brakes. I would take the brakes over the wheels, if I had to pick one.

It would not matter if the Maxima had 50" tires, its ugly. I saw one on the road the other day and it appears Nissan screwed up both the front and rear end. And whats with that non opening sunroof that runs the length of the roof line from front to back.

The whole point of the sunroof is to open, is it not???

it isn't called a sunroof. It's the same thing mercedes has. Like a solar panel.

The long glass pieces, with various names are the new hot items. As for the Maxima, it is not gorgeous on the outside, but it is growing on me.

Before you judge it entirely, I would encourage you to sit in one. Pretty nice inside. Lots of great features like rear, heated bucket seats, power rear sun shade, power tilt and telescoping steering wheel, trip computer integrated into the navi, dual zone climate control, heated steering wheel and one feature I'd love to have is the power collapsable side-view mirrors. The extra few inches in the garage would make a big difference to me.

For the record, I have no plans to purchase one, but those IMHO are some great features that I wish we had. I have had an Acura with navi since 99 (two TL's) and still do not have a trip computer, but my 97 Jeep Cherokee has one and it is great.
