I heard a nasty rumor of "no Type-S' model for 2004...is this true?

I hope the production model retains the Brembos and the cross-drilled rotors.

Everything I "hear" says the Brembos and cross-drilled rotors will not see the light of day on the 2004 model. Poor us!

Are we so vain that we need to see the sweet calipers and rotors?

ABSOLUTELY!

Does anyone think with the new design the exhaust has a potential to look terrible if there is any sag or no support beneath the muffler?

I like the front.
The ass is horrible.
I hate cars with license plates on the trunk. It makes horrible rattling if you put subs in the trunk.

We will never see: camera side mirrors, brembo brakes
We might see: cross drilled rotors, integrated exhaust

Hopefull it has at least 280 HP. I would trade in my 99 TL if they bump up the power.

'The ass is horrible.'

Isn't it amazing since they first started, Acura has never known how to finish off otherwise great-looking cars?

Not sure if I like this new design - will have to see a real one.
The new G-35 looks a little nicer IMHO

I like it a lot. And if the car is 280 HP, you are hardly going to need a Type S.

I like it overall. It will be very interesting to see how it turns out when the production version comes out in the fall. I was thinking about getting a new car in the next year and was hoping that Acura would do something interesting with the TL. Looks like the next generation might be that car.

No, they're not going to make a TL Type-S since the car is already at 280HP. Also, the new RL has an expected 400HP, with an even roomier cabin. It's nice to know that Acura will soon dominate the 3-Series & C-Class sedan-size market.

This is the Concept TL and not the '04.
The concept has cameras instead of mirrors. The concept also uses air to blow rain off the windshield.

Expect mirrors and windshield wipers on the '04.

Thumbs down

If this is what the the new Tl will look like, than i will not be staying in the Acura/Honda camp for long. It looks to much like the Caddy CTS to me and that is one ugly car. The only thing that appeals to me, are the wheels, brakes and exhaust.

I don't know about it myself looks like a cross between VOLVO/BMW & a shot of AUDI. QUIET your correct CTS looking its not like when we got our cars. When I saw the first Concept pictures of the 1999 TL I fell in love with the car. I said to myself back then that it was going to be my next car. I waited a year & got the 2000. But te 2004TL might have to grow on me just like new ACCORD.
