Just my $.02 to contribute to the 2004 TL rumor mill.

Just dropped my car off to have the 3rd transmission installed (6849 miles) and the regional service director was at the dealership....

Here is where the rumors start..... He said what he has heard so far is the new TL will be based on the Accord (we all knew that) and it should have voice command like the Accord and a bump in horsepower and handling. Nothing more specific than that.... One other thing, he said expect to see the car around next September.

thats a long time! i really doubt that this is true. Since the 03 came out in march of this year. i'd expect the 04 should be the same if not, the latest should be in april.
And the info he gives you is very obvious. Base on the accord with higher HP and better handling. Isnt that the same as every TL compare to the accord?
Only time will tell....

03 is sold earlier to help clean up production backlog and make room for 04. TL-S A-spec is another attempt to clear more inventory. It's just like Special edition for Accords, but they call it A-spec.

I just hope that 04 TL would not have the tail design as 03 Accord.

never believe what the dealer says about next year's models. they dont know shiet. we heard so much BS about the type-S before it came out as well as the minor redesign of the TL-P. when acura wants us to know, they'll let it be known.

Expect it to be announced at the LA Auto show..

and mayyybe released in July..

Don't trust the dealer, they want to sell what they have, not what they don't have yet..

I too heard, from NON-dealership sources, the '04 would not come out until later in the year. Between July and September of '03.

Hey everyone, I am just telling you what I was told. No intention of spreading false rumors.

BTW, the reason the '03 was out sooo early was because of the CL redesign.

All we can do it wait and see.

I read in one of the car magazines that they are coming out in Sept., but no specifics of it. Have a good friend that works for a dealer and they are clueless also. They were told get all your 02's off the lot then we will deliever the 03's, just out of the blue. Honda likes keeping their cars secret.

This may explain why for the first time I have ever seen, they were having an advertised "sale" on CLs and TLs at Acura of Pleasanton.
