I am in a dilemma and not sure what to do. I currently own a 99 3.2TL, heathermist with 40,000 miles and love the car and have had no problems at all. But I also like to trade every 4 years or so and can't decide whether to go for the 2003 Accord EX V6 which has more features on it than my current 99 TL plus a bigger engine, or should I wait for the 2004 TL? My Acura dealer expects the new TL to be out next spring, so should I wait or what? My first inclination is to wait and see what the new TL looks like before commiting to the Accord. If I bought the Accord now and then the TL came out and I liked it better, then I would be sick!

 

With only 40k your car is still a baby. I think I would hold out and see what's up with the new TL.

 

I agree 40k is just breaking her in, keep the Tl for a minute and see what the 04 is like. Also I would wait a few months after its out so you will know what the potential bad spots of the car will be from what other have said!

 

The answer is simple Wait for the 2004 TL if it is breath taking enough than trade the car in.. If you dont like it or you think its alright than I would wait till end of 2003 for the bugs to get out and buy the car later.. Your 99 TL is barely used.. Its like a new car.. I would use it till its dead.. But your opinion.

 

yeah, i'd wait. my 99 TL is just over 55k and I am looking at waiting until I see th 04 TL before deciding. I like to change up when I can, so despite the newwer improved features on the accord, I really would prefer to keep going to my Acura Dealer...who has been very good to my car.

if in 04 we hate the new TL...the Accord is still available.

 

You know what, I have the same car as you. But I won't trade in since I will upgrade my car to race level after the expiry of warranty. For example, I will change the engine and gearbox and take out all the useless seats. I like this car so much and I want to keep it as long as I can.

 

I have a 99 TL also with ~ 67K miles.

IMO, I would definitely wait for the 04 TL.

I'm waiting too. If the 04 looks good, I'd trade in. If it looks bad, then I'll mod it mad until the next TL after 04 or whatever good car that'll come across my mind.

Thats why the manufacturers won't tell you too far in advance about the next model.... nobody would buy today, we'd all be waiting.

who on this site isn't waiting for the 2004 TL....=oP all i have to say it better have a different style from the 2003 accord....i'm very disappointed in the exterior style of it....the interior gadgets on the otherhand has me pumped about what's gonna be in the 2004 TL......
