2003 TL Type S for 1999 TL Owners
I love the reality of the TL Type S. I want want now, but I'm also glad that I bought a 1999 TL and put some good miles on it already. Then this will justify a change next year to the TYPE S. If I have to wait, I have to wait, but it will be worth it.
Some people on here have posted that the 2003 TL Models (availabe towards the middle to end of 2002) or the 2004 models (available mid 2003), will be have a major revamping, so this is something to keep in mind if I can wait that long. But mid 2002 is only a little more than a year away, considering the waiting list now for the 2002.
Can never catch up with the latest and the greatest, but a TL Type S will keep me happy for a long time. Thanks for listening.

You are probably just like me. Wanting to really get our money's worth for our 1999's. There are some people that can afford to trade in their 6 month to 1 year old TL cars for the new TL Type S, but it's not practical for me. But my friend, 2002 TYPE S is where we should start and new additions are sure to be on the way, let alone new models.
That's why I am waiting a few years. Then I might buy the newest TL-S or 3/5 series BMW depending on $$$$.
I have a 99TL and was thinking about trading or selling it to get the new TL-S when it came out but then I would be losing too much money. So I am going to wait to see what happens in a few years.

Hey Blackshadow,
This is why I enjoy this website, can find more people that understand and think the way I do. Having patience is tough, but maybe worth it. Since it does seem kind of impractical to trade in a fairly new 1999 now, put in 1 more good year and then you can justify by buying a 2003 TL Type S or something better that may have come out at the time. But so far the Type S looks like the best for now. The 3 & 5 are great too, but also look for the next generation Lexus ES300. Enjoy!

Thanks acuraguynj!
I heard somewhere that the 2003 or 2004 TL-S will have a major makeover. So it is better to wait.
