2003 TL-S vs. 1993 Accord w/H22a

on the way to vist my brother...as the freeway split...some guy in an accord pulled up right on my ass and stayed there for a sec, then went around me as I was cruising and flashed his hazards on me. My exit was about a mile away so to amuse him I flashed back and we went at it.

After a 1/4 mile or so, he guns it and gets about 1/3 car length on me and I then started to pull on him in 4th going about 105. As I pulled about a car length I let back...as we were lined up again...we were coasting at around 110 went I pulled away once more. Coming close to my exit, he pulled ahead of my after I let back and I figured he wanted another run cuz he flashed me again right before he hopped right back on the freeway. As much as I wanted to run with him once more...I had to be at my destination.

I called a buddy of mine who owns the same type of accord with the motor. I asked him what that kind of motor that kind of car needed to keep up with me before I pulled away. He says the H22a would be the most likely thing. Went I described the car I ran against...he told me that in that area, there were only two people he knew that had those cars with those motors. One's a 2dr and the other a 4dr. The car I was with was a 4dr and the funny thing was that he called up his friend who had that car. IT WAS THE SAME GUY!!! Now he knows who I am and he told my buddy that he wanted to run with me again. My car is 100% stock right now.

I've got to admit, those things are pretty quick...not to mention a lot lighter than my car. All I gotta say is that this world is very small...you never know who you are going to bump into! As for my new buddy....I'll run with you anyday...lol

The accord was a dark blue or black 4dr. i had my window down and it sounded like he had an intake maybe more. I didnt see any exterior modes like an exhaust. It wasnt even lowered...as far as I could tell.

Lol oh man...similar situation to me, but it was a girl driving a riced out baby blue accord with a cf hood and altezza tails. I thought it was weird cuz she had on the stock tl-p rims. Ran against her, beat her, went to my homies shop to get the car tuned, and there she was. Under her hood, was no other than, a stock TL- P motor. lol....

Nice

Here's a video of a 91 Accord with H22 w/cams vs a 03 TL-Type S. Very quick indeed.

Accord v6 is very speedy indeed. Probably has lighter weights than TL.
