If you believe it's the switch, simply disconnecting it will tell you.
Does it run only with key on or does it continue to run with key off?
Assuming that it only runs with key on, you could (as mentioned) have a faulty wiper switch, bad Drivers Multiplex Control Module (DMCM), bad (stuck closed) intermittent wiper relay and even a damaged wiring harness. I see the DMCMs go bad a lot on these. This a computer that's very similar to a Body Control Module (BCM). Although when these go bad, they typically cause multiple symptoms.
