2003 Tl-s Starter Problems
I got into my car the other day and turned the key twice for awhile and the car wouldn't start. I then preceeded to take the key out and re-insert it ...... car finally started. Haven't had a problem since then. It really has me worried and I know that I've seen some threads related to this topic but can't locate them via search.
THANKS!

its normal from what i heard sometime the signal for the key doesnt really do a good job making the engine think that your the owner of your car and it doesnt turn on the fuel pump so all your car does is just trun over but thats all perhaps you have a keychain that effects the key signal to the immobilizer transponder that could be a problem other than that you shouldnt worry too much just try to restart it again....

Do you have a lot of other keys on the key ring? IF SO, that's probably you're problem. If you have a hefty metal keyring or too much metal near the "KEY CHIP" it will interfere with the communication of the key to the ECU. The owners manual even has a discussion about this.
Hopefully this is your problem... at least that's easy to fix, and you know it's not a malfunction of the computer and/or key chip. If you DON'T have any excess metal near the key that you use, try using your spare key for a while to see if the original key has become intermittent...
Good Luck!
