2003 TL pricing
1.) I'm buying a 2003 TL this week and would like to know how much over invoice is a good price. The lowest i've heard was $300 over invoice.
2.) Everyone tells me to get the Type S. Is it worth the extra $$? I've driven a Honda Accord for most my life and probably wont feel the different in V6 horsepower from 225 to the 260 (TypeS)
3.) Navigation system looks nice, very tempting to get. Thats the one thing i'm considering getting. How useful is it? I know my way around my city, so it would be more for show than for acutal navigation.

We just bought an '03 TLS with navi two weeks ago. I shopped around quite a bit before closing the deal at $32,400 (and that included the famous "Protection Package"). We got Anthracite, which was hard to find, and not too many dealers are interested in negotiating on the Type S. You may have more luck with a regular TL.
This car will be a replacement for my husband's '99 Cobra convertible. I have to say I am so pleased with the whole Acura package that I find myself stealing the TLS every chance I get. I love this car! Since I need seating for 6, I have started looking at an MDX for myself, hoping it would be similiar enough to the TLS!
I don't think you'll be disapointed with the navi system, either. Even if you know your way, it is so helpful in finding ATMs, gas stations, EXACT addresses, etc... How many times have you been on the freeway and need gas/bathroom.etc... and have to guess which offramp might have what you need? With the navi you can see what's coming up well before its time to exit.
This was way too long for my 1st post! I guess I'm just too passionate about this car...

1) Anything around $500 over invoice is a very good price.
2)Type S is definitely worth the extra 2G...Trust me you will feel the difference between the TL(225hp) and the Type S(260hp)..IMO the type S is more worth the money than the Navi, especially since you know your way around your city..Think of it this way, how often are you going to step on the gas and how often are you going to be playing with a little screen inside your car..I think you will appreciate the type S power everytime you step on the gas, but you have to honestly think about how often you will use the little navi screen.

GET THE NAVI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I join the long list of Navi owners who at first were skeptical, but now will never purchase another car without one! Trust me.
I just picked up my '03 TLP blk/blk w/ Navi two weeks ago.
Here is why I love MY NAVI!:
1) Of course the Navi looks tight as $hit@!
2) It has that awesome lighting effect, especially at night.
3) Today was a very revealing day for me...I went looking for a tint shop. I have to see the shop in person, I think it gives me a better idea of the work they'll do. So I punch up the address from the phone book, and it gets me there....to all four shops as a matter of fact. It even knew which side of the damn street the shops were on :wow: !!
The navi is very accurate, it knows every little nook and cranny, from on/off ramps, to where U-turns are available, to the amount of feet remaining until you have to turn, to my damn apartment complex street. If you miss a turn, it will recalculate your route for you, and as mentioned earlier, will tell you if there is a U-turn coming up.
WELL WORTH THE MONEY!!!
If you get one and don't like it, then come back and flame me. So I guess that means I won't be getting flamed....by you anyways!
Ever need to get to a certain location on one of those 10 mile long streets in your city, you know, the ones with #'s from 200-23777? Wouldn't you like to know exactly where on that street you need to get to so you can adjust your route accordingly?

Just got my `03 TL-P 2 weeks ago. If I remember correctly, the PP consisted of trunk tray, wheel locks, and mud flaps. Maybe something else, but it escapes me now. BTW, my TL is Firepepper Red/Parchment. Beautiful!

Back to the pricing question. Our '03 TL-S with Navi should be in next week (fresh off the truck). Got it for $31,900 including floormats and wheel locks. Pretty good considering I specifically requested a fresh-off-the-truck car that they had to search for and trade another dealer to get it delivered right to them

p.s. Lindsay Acura in Columbus, OH rocks.
Get the Type S if you don't mind the 2k....it's worth the money.
Drive the P and S back to back and you will feel the difference.
In fact, you can induce a tire spin on Type S even with traction control on. (much easier with it off, of course) Get yourself a nice CAI for just 200 bucks and you are all set.
NAV is up to you. Is it worth 2k, no. Will I get it again? Hell yeah.
It just got me out of Newark when I got into it by mistake the day before yesterday. 'nuff said
I ended up in the city, 42nd street, where I wanted to be in the first place. I don't know how I got there, I just know I got there IN TIME for dinner.

Yesterday i bought a black 2003 TL w/ navigation and protection package for $29,300
I got my '03 TLP two weeks ago, blk/blk w/navi, spoiler, wood steering wheel, wood shift knob for $31,900. Subtracting the price of the options, you still got a much better deal on the actual car than I did!
closed the deal at...
i bought mine 4/4 and closed the deal at $27,500 with 5.9% financing for a 2003 TL-P with that infamous "Protection Package."
i wasn't concerned at all about total price, just about monthly payment, which can always vary based on a million factors.
my deal...
2003 Acura TL-P w/Protection Package in Silver Mist
48-month lease option w/15,000 miles/year
$3370.00 down, $336/month
oh, those prices i'm paying included TTL as well.
there ya go...later & good luck,
