My wifes Lexus SC300 was just totaled and now we are looking for a more practical car. I also have a 91 Legend. I am now considering a 2003 3.2 TL, auto with 55,000 miles. It appears to be in great shape but I have not given it a long test ride yet (just 5 min of local driving). My Legend has 175,000 miles and has had no major problems but is ancient compared to the newer 3.2TL.

Is there anything I should be aware of before I purchase this car? I know about the transmission problems and this one has already been replaced. It has a 8 yr 100,000 mile warranty. Can this car be expected to have the reliability of the Legend? I would appreciate any thing that I should be aware of before I purchase. I will take it to my Acura mechanic who has maintained my Legend for 14 years.
