2003 TL HU replace
I know, I know: oft repeated topic - I searched. Really did, but didn't find the info I needed.
Here's my sit: Factory unit, all working well enough, I guess. However, I really want BT - both for phone calls and especially for streamed music from a smartphone. I'd also like a Aux in for cases where BT isn't convenient. Now, I have investigated Blitzsafe, etc, but have come to the conclusion that aftermarket HU is both more economical and preferable to Blitzsafe.
I read through the http://www.acura-tsx.com/forums/show...=326253&page=2 thread. I understand how to wire the sub. However there are a couple of things that aren't clear.
1. What is the "remote turn on" featured in there for? It involves something about taking a wire to some relay, but unclear where/how this is. I guess I am referring to post #77 on the link above.
2. How to ensure that steering controls work on the aftermarket unit? Do I need to look for certain features on the headunit itself? (I would guess so) - If so, what would that be?
[Currently, I am looking for bluetooth w/A2DP and aux-in stereos. I guess keeping steering controls will mean I need at least one more HU feature.]
Many thanks in advance.

Remote turn on is for amps. It sends a signal to the amp to turn off and on otherwise it will stay on permanent and drain your battery. To keep steering wheel controls you'll need to buy an adapter.
