2003 TL Help needed!
Hello all,
I just got a brand new 2003 TL!! Absolutely live it!!
I have a few questions to you though:
1) Can I install the sunroof visor myself? How?
2)Can I put the mud/splash guards myself?
The dealer charges $120 for those jobs. I think it's way too much.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

is that the installed price including the parts? If not, then its ridiculous labor rate. Those are the 2 easiest things to install although you should think twice about the mud guards. Most everyone thats had them ends up regretting it because it damages under the paint. Do a search and you will see lots of talk about that.

Don't know about the visor, but the mud guards are easy enough with an 90 degree phillips screwdriver. Well, I have not actually put on the mud guards, but I took them off because they scratch the paint. Besides, I think the car looks better without them.

The visor is just two screws and two metal anchers, is self-explanatory.

don't know about the mudguards...but the visor is extremely easy, maybe 5 minutes max. i think it looks pretty sweet on my car, the only problem is parking under trees when all the leaves and sh1t get caught under it. mine came with directions, but it's not hard to figure out, two clips, two nuts, two bolts. easy on, easy off.

Why isn't the dealer installing the mudguards? They come standard with the car.
But yes, I agree that the mudguards scratch the hell out of the paint. If you have any thoughts of getting a body kit, don't do the muds.
