2003 Remote

Anyone with a digital and 2003 remote post a pic of the inside component of the remote? I'm comparing it to my remote to see if I can transfer the electronic components to the casing of the 03 remote. Thanks

what's the differnce between the 02 and 03 cases? Aren't they the same?

I have a 02 TL-S this the same brownish-gray casing with the small Acura emblem in the back of it. My circuit doesn't look like that...i bought mine 2 months after initial release, so they probably changed the design.

I'll post pic in a min.

the notch on the bottom of the 02+ guts looks more in than the older one.. but the remote casing looks as if it could fit it..

if the battery placement is in the same place.. then it should work.. good luck let us know your results!

Ok first off let me tell you that you can't program the new 02+ remote to fit the 99-01 TL. But I'm sure you all knew that. So I compare the two remotes and found them to be similar size and the buttons located in the same place.

So I decide it would be easy to switch the inside component out.
That wasn't the case. The new remote is electical components are smaller then my old 99TL remote's so this didn't work out. Now I'm sitting there with a 20 dollar remote from ebay and I figure what the heck I'll clean out some of plastic junk and make the electrical component fit. After about 2 hrs (really 10 cuz I had to recharge) with the dremel tool I made it fit. (If you attempt to use a dremel tool please becareful with it and

So yeah.......I got a 2002+ remote for a 99TL, the inside isn't pretty but the outside looks way better then my old 99TL remote :P

use the engraver tip for the dremel tool for the front piece (you need to carefully cut the excess side to fit it in) and for the back piece, just use a grinder tip for the dremel tool and get rid of all the protruding plastic piece. Take your time and keep checking to see if it fits. Goodluck :-) Safety first wear eye protection!
