2003 CL-S 6 Speed

I was wondering if anybody has brought or test drove the new 6 speed CL-S coupe? If you have let me know what you think or thought of it.

Loved every second behind the wheel! :wow:

The car pulled in virtually every gear (never got to 5th or 6th though), we had that bad boy reving out. There is major torque stear when throwing it into a corner, downshifting and flooring it back out! The only thing I wasn't too crazy about was the clutch...it was VERY light. I couldn't feel the break point clearly with boots on, a little more resistance would have been nice.

For anyone that is wondering how I managed to abuse the car with a sales rep in the car...he's a good friend of mine and just as big a speed freak so we had some fun. We were gentle on the brakes though!!!...they stank but weren't smoking.

I actually have him checking into if it's possible to convert the TLS to the manual tranny and roughly how much we're talking. If he can find out I'll let you all know.

I believe the clutch is some form of hydraulic clutch. Not a fully mechanical clutch.

I love the car too. I want a manual transmission. I want one I want one......but not a CL.....TL baby. :wow:

Well here is your answer from acura site.

Its light, progressive, self-adjusting clutch makes for quick, effortless shifting. CL Type S models with the 6-speed also come with a sophisticated torque-sensitive helical limited-slip differential. When cornering under heavy loads, the differential transfers torque to the outside front wheel, where there's typically more traction. For driving purists, CL Type S models with the 6-speed manual transmission are not equipped with the Traction Control System (TCS) or Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA).
