So..what do you think? Anybody race them before...possibly off the line..?

A guy in my school is calling my car a ***** car..cuz i don't floor that ****..(it's a TL...dun wanna **** it over)...i mean he gives me respect for having one..but then he hella wants to "settle" something..besides..he thinks he's a racer..

So..even though this is a TL forum..let's put that all aside..and tell me your real opinion..don't favor a TL cuz you have one..just tell me based on stats that you kno or maybe experiences that you have had.


Also..if i was to race him off the line..i dunno when to shift and stuff..can you tell me when?..considering that it's a Sport shift..i think i'll use it..

Will auto or sportshift be better?..

I will turn off VSA and AC off too..anything else?


FINALLY..is flooring it/ redlining it bad for the car?

If you don't want to race him, just don't. Stop succumbing to some moron who wishes he had the extra few Grand to Afford a TLS.

If he's been running premium fuel .. it can go either way ... stock Accord V6 autos run neck and neck w/ a TypeS ... it's all about how launches first and best.

redlining the car is fine
since this race is probably gunna make you a little nervous.. just use D5 ... let the 'puter do the work for you, you'll gain very little from "gate-shifting" or "SS-ing"

An Accord V6 AUTO will NOT go neck and neck with a TL-S??? The Accord V6 MANUAL will go neck and neck but the AUTO is about a second slower from 0-60.

But on another note, if you don't want to race, DON'T! What do you have to prove?
That you can get a bigger ticket then him? Forget it, we all know the TL-S is faster!
Get some mods, then race him!

I would be very surprised if an Accord could be a TL-S. Ask him what's the point to racing? If he continues, tell him to go race a TSX first.

my friend has a accord coupe 6...straight off the line he has absoulety no chance....during driving he has even less of a chance.
