I would go with TL-S. Civic Si is light, but still, TL-S has a 60 hp advantage which is enough to compensate for its weight. He might have you right off the line but you should quickly catch up and own him.

If he has mods, i dunno.

The newer Civic Si hatchback style cars don't have 200hp. Only the Civic Type R (available in Japan and Europe) have the 200hp K20A2 engine.

The Civic Si does have a K series engine, but IIRC it only puts out 160hp.

You should have no problems killing an Si.

if you race in reverse it will be close, but going forward there is no contest. you have 100HP advantage, were you seriously worrying about him beating you. hahahaha

Talking

Civic SiR (thats what they're called in Canada) are slow. The funniest sight is the face on their owner's face when you smoke them. They think they are on top of the world with their little 160hp car. I smoked so many of them that now, I don't even play them anymore. They have no torque whatsoever.. so very poor... lol!

I never understand these type questions when they are started from actual experience or you can find the car to race..... just race the sucka! If you win, you win, if you lose, you lose. I am assuming you would have mentioned if it was for titles with no looking under the hood (in which case I could understanhd the caution) but in every race there must be a winner and a loser. Win the ones you can but never be scared to compete.

I'd race a Ferrari in a Pinto if I thought there was any possible way I could win.... hell I would probably race em anyway, i just would be less anxious to drop the challenge!

now a days, it's really hard to determine what's underneath a civic's hood. with so many mods available, like turbo and engine hybrid swaps, they can lay to waste a lot of cars, even the TL-S. so unless you know for a fact that the civic si is stock, it's a definite kill.

You'll have car lengths on the vehicle I like to call ''the easter egg.'' Honestly, if you look at it quickly it just looks like a giant egg.

if the civic is modded with some nitrous sprays, a light car like that will be airborne.

but stock civi si vs TL? hah! good one.

Honestly, if they had modded the civic with nitrous/turbos/SC or whatnot, the civic would prolly be riced out. Civic owners don't know how to be subtle. Stock looking civics are prolly just stock and lookin for an ass-whuppin'.

Just make sure you watch out for the stickered out civics. Count the stickers, multiply by 15 hp per sticker, before deciding whether you can beat em.
