i just bought a 2001 3.2 TL and the dealer i bought it from didn't give me the radio code does anyone know where i can get it from, or how i can get??? PLEASE HELP!!!!!

 

Mine was a little card in the owners manual folder. If its not in there call the service department monday and they will give you a code that will work.

 

Look all over the car for a 5 digit code. Look under the ash tray, or on the side of the glove box after you open the door, in the fuse box cover under the dash or the one by the engine. It is usually stuck on somewhere.

If not, you might try going to the owner's link and registering, and they sometimes have the code there, or the dealer can contact Acura and see if he can get it.

Last option is to pull the radio and get the serial number. I don't know how hard that is in a 2001 TL, so I'm moving this to 2G TL.

 

I changed my radio myself and when I put the stock one back in I realized I didnt have the code. So I took it back out and took it to the dealer where they hooked it up to some kind of machine and gave me the code for free. But if they had to take it out they woulda charged me 80 bucks.

 

ok with the car on the on position(Not turned on just click the key until all the lights go on)have your radio turned off before you turn the key to the on position. Hold down buttons 1 and 6 on your radio and turn the radio on. That will give you 2 codes consisting of 1 letter and 4 numbers each. with those codes either call your dealer or pm me with the codes and i might be able to get the radio code for you. Let me know
