2001 tl electrical?

so back a few months ago i installed a new headunit in my 2nd gen but it wasnt in all the way. my friend pulled it out slightely and dumb ole me forgot to tape up the wires that werent connected to anything so it made a spark and my headlights stopped working. we figured out that it was the fuse that blew out and replaced it so they started working again. i noticed recently that since that happened, the lights on the left side of my climate control is not working and my drivers side seat heater isnt working either. i checked all the fuses and all seems fine and i have no idea what the issue might be. if anyone knows a fix for this, your advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hate to say it but you probaly fried your climate control unit. Good thing you didnt start a fire with those exposed wires.

No seat heat.......

First thing to do is make sure that whatever you did before with the headunit causing this problem
.....is to go back and get it right !

Otherwise, replacing fuses and so on, will not work. Chances along with good luck, are that the fuses did blow, doing their job. You may've missed a fuse, as there's more than one.

Under the hood, in the fuse/relay box, you'll find#41(120a),#42(60a),and#55(40a)

Inside driver side underdash is#4(7.5a)
Inside passenger side underdash is#3(20a)

After that is the actual relays and switches for the heated seats. If the fuses did their job, these should be ok.

The CC light may be a blown fuse #13(7.5a) located in passenger underdash.

If you're referring to the illumination and not the function aspect of both the climate control and the drivers seat heater switch, then I'm gonna say its the actual small illumination bulbs inside both components. The HVAC control assembly has ONE signal coming into it from the dimmer switch but if only one side is working on that panel, chances are its the little bitty teeny weenie shriveled little short short (anyone know that song? Lol.) bulbs or at worse, a broken circuit on the control heads board. Either way, no big deal. I pulled all my "wedge style" bulbs out and literally soldered in LEDs and man, talk about OUTPUT!
