2000 vs 2003

To everyone,

A friend of a friend of mine has a 2003 TL (Not type s), and he wanted to race me for money, now I have a stock
2000 (not type s), I was wondering what are the chances of me winning? (So I know how much to bet)

Here's a few thing to consider
- My TL is in great condition, done every check up and oil change and stuff.
- Well, his TL is new
- I heard that the 2000 TL is lighter than 2003

Please Let me know, I'll be sure to tell everyone how it ends.

P.S. If anyone have any tips on how to beat the guy, plz let me know. The guy is really cocky, he thinks he's going to win for sure cause his car is new.

You guys will run the same. Both cars are mechanically identical, so I don't see why either car will be faster than the other. My tip to you is to slash his tires, then race him.

Well his car might not be broken in yet, so if it isnt you might have a slight edge.

Make sure you run with him on a near empty gas tank...

pull out the spare, low on fuel tank, also

lower the air pressure in your front tires to 26- 28 psi, and disengage your tcs before you run! oh, fold in your mirrors, shut all electric acc off and a/c off!

if his car is brand new, hopefully he's not dumb enough to redline it yet. in that case, you can smoke him

otherwise, just do like everyone else said and take out everything you can, turn off all the electric stuff, and go for it.

haha...take a tip from that moron on is300.net, put armor-all all over his tires so he loses traction hahahaha

perhaps going to your local auto store and buying a $5 bottle of octane booster might help also.
