2000 tl3.2 keyless entry not working

I have a 2000 tl and now the keyless entry works sometimes and not others. I press the remote and you can hear the doors try to unlock but they dont. Also with the trunk you can hear it making noise but it will not work. Keep trying and it does work. I was wondering what to check first. It is not one door like with an actuator. It sounds like a low battery but the car batter is fine unless the receiver has it own battery some where.

your remote has its own battery, any radio shack can help you pop it apart and install new 5$ power source

Not the remotes, it is likethe car is not sending enough power to the doors or trunk. U can hear the motors try to work but they dont. It is all 4 doors and alsothe trunk. The remotes have new batteries in the last 2 months and I did a door actuator 6 months ago. You can hear the sound of the motors try to work and even see the locks move but they dont move enough to unlock most of the time.

Welcome.
Does it do the same while the engine is running ? by using the Lock/Unlock switch by the door handle.
Check the main battery ground cables and both battery post need to be clean and tight.
(Be sure to have the radio code if you disconnect the battery)

You might also have an actuator that's drawing too much current, thereby dropping the voltage available to the other actautors.

No actual experience of that sort on this particular system. More of a scientific wild ass guess.
