Post 2000 Acura TL trade-in value

Any of you folks have any idea of the trade-in value of a 2000 TL, 12K miles, showroom condition (i.e. no dents, dings, chips), non-nav?

that doesn't seem quite right. that's really high. I was told around 23K for my 2000 with 15K miles on a trade in. that's stock, no cleared headlights, perfect paint and interior.

I thought it was a little high too. But I put in the info he gave and that's the price it came out with.
BTW, I went on Kelly's Blue Book.

My understanding is that the used car manager will try to get a feel for what the cars sell for at auction, rather than use the guides. Is that not how it is done at most dealerships?

I got US$26,308 toward the purchase of a 2001 Civic EX. The TL had 17,500 miles with a door ding and slightly scuffed bumper, non-nav. Don't be undersold, fax as many dealers as will offer you a good trade, then play the best 2 or 3 off of each other, short of pi$$ing them all off. Worked for me!

P.S. Don't let them beeatch about their ability to resell the vehicle at a profit. My dealer put it on the lot for $165 more than I paid for it new! They won't get that much, but they'll always get a profit, even if they are forced to take the least they can.

Had 2000 3.2TL... Realized I like smaller cars.

Now I have:
2001 Civic EX Coupe, Black, Auto... wife uses mostly. Getting 36 MPG overall.
Pictures
1999 CR-V EX 4WD Auto White... bad weather car, hauls stuff including bicycle.
1992 MR-2 5-Speed T-Tops 2.2L, Greddy SP S/S Exhaust... sunny-day car.

Next up: MR2 gets sacrificed to make garage
space for a Yellow S2000!!!!

That'd be great, except...

Dealers don't use the KBB!

(plus I thought you were saying you got that figure for your car, sorry )
