You know the metal plate on top of our engines? The one with all of the chrome screws around it? What is it for? Is it possible to remove it in order to paint it? It won't cause any leaks or anything right?

Nothing will happen. I removed it once or twice, there is nothing but the engine block behind it. Don't worry, take it off and play with it.
