Although it may increase hp that much it will probably cut back on engine efficiency (fuel economy). I wonder if it would be a ULEV anymore. I like how it says "DONT'T BE FOOLED"

Don't be fooled.

a resistor chip that takes no tools to install or remove - sounds strange. could just be replaceing a resistor on the air intake system with another one they provide - this basically will cause the sensor to behave differently.

I remember a firend that removed a resistor on his 240SX that would casue the car to wait (automatic) until readline before shifting. It'll work, but at what cost

lol...20hp for $6.99????

i got it...its some kind of transmitter, and when you attach it to your car it overrides the transmitter in the key, allowing this company, which now has your home address, to steal your car.

thats the only logical explanation i can come up with

its a resistor that you use to basically short out your MAP sensor by changing the voltage/resistance making the ECU think there is more air going into the throttle body. It does work but it makes your engine run rich which wastes gas. You could probably get a 10 HP gain but I think a 20 HP gain is BS. Your drivability may suffer and your engine life could decrease as a direct result of using this crap.

These things are best avoided as ebay doesn't care if your too dumb to buy a .20 cent resistor for $5 and then get charged $5-10 to get it shipped which really only costs .37 for an envelope w/ postage. Notice how most of these guys have private auctions so you cant see the bidders and use ebay message system to contact them and tell them their dumbasses.

Look at these dumbasses bidding on one for a hundai.
Just click the link, look at the price, LAUGH AWAY!

Ironically, according to his ID Card, he has few negative feedbacks:

http://cgi2.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-c...ec_performance

If you look on his "Items for sale by..." page this is all he sells. I can't believe so many people will bid over the "buy it now" price.

Actually AK it supplies a false reading through your MAT(manifold air tempature) sensor NOT MAP(manifold air pressure) thus making the ECU think it's colder out and advancing fuel and timing curves thus the need for premimum fuel to prevent detonation(pinging) I actually did purchase it but have not installed it yet ,But once I determine the part # of the resistor I will post it so you can go down to your local radio shack and buy it for pennies

wouldn't you think the factory would love to have a performance gain that easily?

If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is......

A buddie of mine picked one of these up for his 300ZX before he wrecked it... He gave me the MOD, i figured, what the hell, its under warranty if i kill it. I did as the instructions said, and bypassed the sensor by removing the 2 wire harness and sticking the resistor to jump the 2 wires in the harness. I started her up, and took her for a test drive. If there was a gain, i sure as hell didnt notice it. i testes the resistor with a multimeter just to be sure and it was ok... so this is BS. i took it out and "accidently" dropped it in my ash tray. hmmmmm....

I read through his feed back, it is all good except a few people *****ing about the shipping charge and that it comes in an envelope, his response was that it is shipping and HANDLING that's what the rest of the cash is for (BS), but a bunch of people wrote that the chip is great and they deff. feel the difference. Someone has to try this, just because 9 times out of 10 something is too good to be true, there is still that one shot left over for actual good products and good deals.

LOL Dude think about it this way, no one on eBay gives Negative Feedback unless they got something they werent told.. on his site it has all the fine print, it says upto 20 hp not 20 hp but can go upto 20 HP... They cant lie about anything because than the guy will reply back on the customer and give them Neg. Feedback saying Read the Fine LINE... ITS ALL A LEGAL SCAM! We should report it to eBay. I wonder what eBay would say? One more thing, not every Positive feedback is for his chip, he sells other stuff too..

Orange-Orange-Red is 330 ohm. Gold means 5% tolerance.

Don't waste your time. People have been jacking with temp to fool ECMs as long as fuel injection has been around. While it does work SLIGHTLY(but no 20hp), you usually end up fouling the O2 sensor, if you leave it in for any length of time. Are you really willing to cut 15-20% fuel economy 100% of the time, for the occasional WOT maybe 5hp gain? Doesn't sound smart.

it's all mental, if someone changed something in your car and said you had an addition 20 horses, you'll probably believe him and say, Yeah, I feel it, even if your not too sure if you do or not. It's the power of suggestions!!
