Post 2 Warning lights have gone.......

I have got 2 warning lights that went off this morning.

It was the TCS light and Check Engine Light.
It is 99 TL with close to 90K

What do I do Just Reset?
Do I take to the dealer?
Is their any code reader that I can use and if so which one?

Money is very tight right now.

What have you done when this has happened to you b4?

Thanks

Is your tranny running fine? Looks like the same light pattern as a dead tranny

Is this the begining signs of tranny issues????

The tranny seems to run fine. How else can I tell is it is my tranny?

I am not covered by any warranty.

The tranny is failing, acura knows that when the check engine light comes on with the tcs light that it is a tranny failure. When youn turned the car back on the tcs light prolly didnt go back on. The tranny will start acting up very sooin.

You are still covered under powertrain warranty til 100k and some people got there trannies fixed after 100k. So take it to them asap. You dont want anything to happen while your driving...

Mr :

Thank to the reply but mine is a 1999 TL with 90K.

I thought the powertrain and other warranty covers 2000 and up models.

I just called Acura to find out about any recalls on my car but only a service bulletin about Engine Gas Recirculation Port Clog (EGR Valve) Covered for 14 yrs or 150K. I made the appointment for tuesday morning. What Should I tell them about the Tranny. Any Suggestions??

Thanks

'99TL - same exact lights & situation, but no apparent symptoms (drove fine, good acceleration, etc.).

Ran it for about 5K miles with lights on until I couldn't stand it anymore. EGR problem - but they said it was only covered up to 80K miles (I had about 87K on mine at the time) and stuck me for about $200 to fix it. Called Acura and they gave me the address to ask for a refund. Writing letter this weekend, even though it was a couple of months ago.
