I have decided, I am buying a CAI intake, like tomorrow. Going to get from this site. Dont know whether to get the polished 1 piece, or the two piece. Any opinions?

I bought the 2 piece cause I wanted the bypass valve.

Don't listen to emerald, I have a 99 TL with over 63,000 miles and it is running smoothly.

Thanks for the input, decided on the 2 piece, in blue.
I have to order when I get home, forgot to bring my CC card to work.

You'll be happy you ordered it. I have a 99 and Knock on wood my car is running mean as hell. Emerald just because you have a problem doesnt mean the TL world will have the same problem, dont try and scare others by telling them the tranny WILL blow. It may or may not happen. You may hate your car, but i dont hate mine.

If you have a TL-P it's two pieces no matter what. Unless you have a TL-S...it's one piece no matter what as well.

Emerald,
c'mon man... give it up. we all know what happened with your car and we understand your anger. i would be angry too if it happened to my car, but PLEASE quit putting negative thoughts into new buyers/moders minds

not trying to flame or anything

Warrenty Question

If I put in the AEM CAI, will that mess with my warr-ty, I don't want anything happening to the engine and then they say that they aren't going to fix it b/c of the mod. Can this happen?

I had my injen purchased and installed by Park Avenue Acura and i kept my warrenty. The only thing you have to be careful about is driving into a puddle of standing water that can submerge the filter. just get the bypass valve and everything will be ok. NNSNEXT went through a big puddle this weekend and he survived because of the by pass. The intake cannot void your warrenty unless you suck up some water.
