2 different prices of mobil 1???
1 is like 27 and the other is 42. Why is that? The one i bought for my car is mobil 2000 for higher mileage cars(120k km and up).is it good?

$42 one should be Synthetic motor oil.
I just purchased a bottle of 1L synthetic for $10 and a bottle of 4.4L for $35.

you have to read the labels very carefully these days on everything
Due to a lawsuit a few years ago, oil companies are now able to use the lower grade 2 base oil in synthetic and still label it synthetic- instead of grade 1 base oil
The old good mobil 1 is now High Mileage version- so thats a good buy
The new regular mobil1 uses the old bottle style and label-which doesnt specify about the change
Its good oil - just not the mobil1 you bought a few years ago
I look for the words FULLY synthetic and check makers website to know whats in the oil.
Been on penzoil platinum for a year now, going to do a dino oil change and see if there is a dramatic mileage differance based on oil
Note on seafoaming the oil before a change- I read the website carefully
It says 1 1/2 oz of liquid seafoam per QT of engine oil
Drive min 30 minutes, max 100 miles, (unless you install a new filter then do the treatment- a new filter can catch all the crud- ok to drive farther and moniter crud and color on dipstick up to 500 miles- thats for old crudded up engines only),
Takes 30 minutes for the seafoam to liquify the crud and wash it to the filter
I just did this on my vtwin 1100 honda and the idle rpm increased 300 just from the 30 miles--freed up something!
Going to cut open the mobil1 filter from it- only had 2000 miles on it so should hold a lot of information from the foaming
Bike oil gets changed every 2000-3000 miles -ugh, and takes special $5 qt vtwin oil
with a K&N filter thats a 35$ change every few months!

the engine doesnt really care what oil you run, dino- blended or fully synthetic.
can go from on to the other at each change if you want, and wont make the car run funny or blow up
