19's and bent rim

Hi,
How many people have had problems with 19 inch rims and problems such as potholes and tire reparation? Is there a huge difference in maintaining 19 inch rims as opposed to 18's? I am considering buying rims, but don't know what size.

Thanks for your input.

18s are more practical. easier to get tires and not too harsh to ride on. 19s you really need to be careful and tires are more expensive, but they look hot!

From my experience last weekend (just bent one of my rims) I would have to say that it has more to do with what series tire you are using, i.e. how tall the sidewall is, and how wide your tire is in relation to your rim. In other words, how much protection your rubber is affording your rims. Less rubber, more chance of bending a rim!!!!!!!!!!!
