Hi,

I'm new in the community and I need your help with my 1999 Acura 3.2tl.
I hit the car on a post. After that, the hood could open but difficult to close. I hammered the square hook on the hood trying to make it easy to close. On the contrary, the hood couldn't fully close as before; it wouldn't open either.

I guess I'll have to replace the whole hatch. But I will have to take it off first. How? Probably from under the car.

Replacing the hook and not that hard. First, remove the grille with a few push-pins; there are 3 push-pins on the bottom which will take time to remove them as you don't have room to work with; unless you want to remove the whole bumper, which is not too hard neither, just takes a bit more time, then you should be able to remove the hook from the top. As far as the hood is not fully closed or hard to open, you will have to see where the obstructions are and adjust it accordingly.
