Thumbs up 12k miles on my TL

Huh, after 12k miles (got it July 29th, 2000) I can report to all of you that my TL is holding very strong!! No extraterestial noises, squicks, ruttles. Brakes are holding strong (good) One thing that did change is engine operation noise... it got little noiser... Except for this, FLAWLESS TL How about you guys? How are your TLs?

My car just had it's 1st birthday on the 15th and with 11K miles on it now, I can say that I am extremely happy with it. I went through some squeeks and rattles and weird problems that noone's ever heard of, but my Acura service department has been amazing. I therefore have no complaints.

My car is a 2000 TL w/NAV and had no modifications. I was planning on getting them in the spring, but now with the Type S coming out, I really don't know if I'm going to go that route or just buy a new one. Decisions, decisions...

Glad to hear that you're happy with yours too.

Since we are doing milage checks, I have 64,366 miles with just over 2 years of use. Love the car!

Thumbs up

Damn! I thought 9,100 miles since August 1, 2000 was a lot!

I cured my moonroof and seatbelt squeaks with a little lube. Although I heard a new one from (sounded like) the base of the windshield for a few minutes yesterday afternoon. I just think my baby was worried that it was going to get traded in on a 525i. I explained my long-term committment, and the squeak quietly went away...

I have 2800 miles on mine and the sunroof is squeaky pretty loudly. Going in Saturday at 1 to get it fixed - they said they need to take it all apart and use some different kind of tape or something so it will never squeak again. Said it'll take about 45 minutes.

Other than that, I love it! Its amazing how addictive and fun modding it can be, as well as posting on the board.

I've got 5 months and 10k. From an engine standpoint - no issues, but this is the worst paint job I've ever seen. I have the Dark Blue and it looks more along the lines of a blue w/ white specks. I wish I had known.

When you got as much crap in your car as he does(nitrous too!) you would probably do that kind of mileage too!

Hitting close to 36000 miles as the car approaches 25 months. Things are still fantastic. I add a mod here and there to keep things interesting, but overall its fantastic!

Gripes: Squeeling doorlock actuator in pass door, loose seat, and occasional loud start when cold.

Replaced stock tires and REALLY like the way it drives now.

Talking

My baby just turned 2 years old on Dec 14, 2000 and it has around 43,500 miles on it which averages out to close to 22,000 miles a year. Damn, that's a lot of miles. Well I did take it down to Florida and back. Well the only complaint I have are the squeaks on the moonroof and lately the car is vibrating when I press on the brakes. Looks like it's time for new brakes. Other then this, the car is rock solid.
I was thinking about trading it in for the new TL-S but I am going to wait a couple of years and then give it to my wife. By then I might have enough money to buy an M5. If not, then the 350 horsepower/400 lb feet of torque new TL-S.
Hey I can dream..........
