Yeah, 10W-30 will be fine. The only difference, if you'd even notice it, would be a tiny bit little lower gas mileage.

10w30 is fine for now since its summer. You could switch back to 5w30 before the winter.

10w-30 is fine, but I'd really like to see you folks run your Acuras on 5w-20.

Even if the extreme of summer heat, it'll deliver equally as good wear protection but with better fuel efficiency.

Keep in mind as well that thick oils can cool as effectively as thinner oil since thinner oils tend to flow faster.

I expect to see tons of it in Atlanta...from Pennzoil to Mobil 1.

Mobil1 recently came out with 5w20 full synthetic.

Before that, I used to run 10w30 in the summer and 5w30 in the winter. But I think I'll stick with 5w20 from now on all year round. But the clerk was right, though; generally in hot weather, it's good to run a slightly thicker oil; or if you drive your car hard and/or track it.

What is a good brand to use other than the dealer Honda oil? I have heard Valvoline and Mobil. I came across some Havoline and Pennzoil that was recommended for Ford and Honda vehicles. How many qts. for a 2002 tl type s? The manual says 4.6, one dealer told me 4.8, and another told me 5.3.

Usually any major brand 5w-20 will do the job. Not sure on the sump..I think its 4.5...put in 4.5 then check the oil level.

I've used 5w-30 all year long for a couple of oil change. How come when I checked my local Wal-Mart yesterday, they didn't carry 5w-20 Mobil1 anymore. Maybe, Mobil stops producing Mobil1 5w20?? (well bad assumption, but just wonder)

In my area, bay area in CA, Mobil 1 is available in 5W-20. On my last change I wanted to start using the new Extended Performance Mobil 1 but I found that Mobil is not putting it out in the 5-20 weight. They do make 5-20 in the standard Mobil 1.

Is it true that 0w-20 will give our cars faster revs?

I might try this on mobile 1 for my next oil change.

I hope that reving up faster is not harmful.

No, 5w-20 and 5w-30 are both 9.5TBN formulations...any better TBN you see is a reflection of different operating conditions.

M1 0w-20 is no longer avaliable, for a 0w-20 I suggest Synergyn or Pennzoil.

TBN doesn't necessairly mean everything since M1 tends to show a higher TBN by design, even though its not neutralizing acids as quickly as another oil showing a lower TBN, such as Redline.
