Post 100k for 7 year warrenty?

What do you guys think is a good deal for a 7 year 100k miles warrrenty? The dealer is offering $1200 any input is good Thxs guys. I got my springs installed just looking for a place to install my headers. Do anybody know of any front light for the turn signal that will match the HID. I want all the front lights to match the HID. The fogs thxs from silver PIcs but what about the turn signals (don't like the yellow).

Thxs guys,
Mr.T

Thumbs up

If you're going to keep the car for 5+ years, and have the dealer install your headers, get the 7yr/100k warrenty. Make sure the headers are included.

I'm buying a loaded TL-S in the next couple of months (as soon as my new garage is built) and I will be getting the headers and the extended warrenty. I will keep this car until the wheels fall off or somebody hits me. $1,200 isn't that much for a $35,000 car with all of the electronic gadgets. Heaven forbid your nav system crashes at 51,000 miles and you aren't covered!

At least, that's how I look at it.

Yep. I just bought mine and talked them down to $1000 including wheel locks. As for benefits past 4 years/50,000, think electronics. One Heated seat alone will set you back $500...

Dunno what your dealers are smokin, but I asked about it, asking if it was about $700, and the local guy said "yeah, that's about right". Note he's not the finance dept (who oficially handles it), but still...

I recommend the warranty if you are keeping it past 4 years. It really can pay for itself. A starter alone costs $450 to replace. Any major component of that car costs lots to replace. And, the great thing is, if you never use the warranty (Acura Care Warranty), it is totally refundable at the end of 7 years. You have got to love that one

Which headers are available at the Dealer? Are they the Comptech's? And will the dealer cover the install and warranty?? How much are they at the dealer?

thanks in advance for any information.

Where is the warranty through? Is it through Acura or third party warranty program.

I got a quote for $975 for 10yr/150K from www.warrantynation.com

Also how do you know if these warranty companies will be around when your car needs it?

I asked this question to them and they replied

We have been in business for 22 years, 5 of those on the internet. We
have hundreds of thousands of contracts in force through-out North America,
as well as two offices in the States and one in Canada. Also all our
contracts are underwritten by Lloyds of London and the Barkley's Group, so
if something was to happen they would be responsible for the remainder of
your contract.

What do you think?

JTang,

Where did you hear that about the price being totally refundable if unused? That's a key selling point!

I've negotiated a deal to get my new Type S on Monday. The dealer started out at $1520 for the warranty (no deductible). He ended up at $893, which he swears is his cost. I agree about the potential high cost items after 50K. I'm definitely getting the warranty.
