100-0mph or 60-0mph tests on upgraded breaks?

Does anyone have any stats on breaking times for upgraded break systems? Such as 100-0 or 60-0mph.

What do our cars do stock?

I would also like to know what you all have done to your cars to improve breaking? ie. steal braded lines, diff. roters, etc.

Thanks

90% of your breaking is in the pads and tires. Good luck finding any sort of stats though... people just don't feel the need to test their brakes. Get some good semi racing pads and nice tires and you're set, get the rotors for looks. I personally don't think brakes lines are that big of deal.

With braking I think the most important factor to consider is the tires. The tires will break loose waaay before any of the other parts do...that's why we have ABS to begin with.

This is the order I would personally take given a real life scenario where budget does matter.

#1 Tires
#2 Pads
#3 Rotors
#5 Brake Lines

I've stopped 75-0 faster than I though possible. I have crossdrilled rotors, Axxis Metal Master pads, 19x8.0 rims, and Yokohama AVS Sport 235/35 tires. I was going about 100 in a 35, came up to a corner far too fast. I must've been going about 75 when I got into the corner. I did something which will sound dumb (yes, it gets even better)... as I entered the turn I hit the gas. This caused my front end to break loose and I INSTANTLY turned 180. Now I'm sliding backwards with my foot on the brakes as hard as possible. It scared me like nothing else. Luckily there was no oncoming car. I ended up halfway through the corner, facing the way I had come from. The whole side of my car was covered with bits of rubber from my tires.

Don't do that.

I agree

My order:
#1 Tires
#2 Pads
#3 4-piston calipers
#5 SS Brakelines and Rotors

or
#3&5 Larger car insurance (whichever is cheaper)

805EX was right. It was supposed to be calipers...but I forgot it was supposed to based on a budget. Change the calipers...then you'd have to change the pads...but you bought the pads first...so its kind of a waste of money. I just forgot to renumber :P
