I also did a 6Q drain and fill for my transmission like in my previous thread

Like someone mentioned in my other thread, you can get more than 3 quarts out at one time. When I was taking the last quart out, the drain plug fell and I ended up getting a total of about 3.7 quarts out...so really you could get more like 7 or 8 quarts and do a drain/fill 2 times and get more fluid out. When the plug fell out, I was able to look at the magnet end - it was covered with little metal shavings, so I wiped it off. The fluid looked like it did in my other thread, but when I was pooring the new fluid in, you can tell it is a pretty dark red already, so it doesnt take much to turn it darker. I remember when I (waisted my money) got the dealer to flush it out a while back - he said the fluid looked normal. And that dark was ok, but you need to pay attention if is smells burnt and that will tell you if you have a problem. Well my old fluid smelt just like the new, so all should be ok. Anyway, the car still runs like it did when I got it 43k miles ago and the tranny shifts nice and smooth now.
I also filled it through the top of the transmission - much easier than through the dipstick! The damn bolt was a pain to get off, but nothing a 3/8 ratchet cant handle.
almost there...
