I found a 06 accord 3.0 transmission with 68,000 miles for $900 that I'm gonna put in my 02 TL-S. It's about 45 miles from my place,what are some things that I should look for when I go check it out.

 

Any signs of general abuse or physical damage, missing or broken sensors, smell the fluid for burned odor. Make sure it has the converter and it is not discolored from overheating.

When at the salvage yard, try to get a look at the actual car which the tranny came from.
Hopefully the car didn't take too bad of a hit, especially in the front near the tranny area.
Good luck and report back with how things turn out. Also, ask about a warranty.
